WildOnesSoundtrack01. Wild Ones - feat. Sia by Flo Rida
02. Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent
03. Brokenhearted by Karmin
04. Paralyzer by Finger Eleven
05. Touch by Natasha Bedingfeld
06. Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton

Letitia: I think Bleed is the perfect song for Cami and Trick. They’re star-crossed lovers with such intense chemistry. They definitely would (and do) bleed for each other.

Down to YouOpen it & listen with Spotify!
DownSoundtrack01. Figured You Out by Nickleback
02. Wanted by Jessie James
03. Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard
04. Still Of The Night by Whitesnake
05. Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson
06. Show Me by Big Time Rush
07. To Be With You by Mr. Big
08. Whistle by Flo Rida
09. Only Girl (In The World) by Rihanna
10. Ho Hey by The Lumineers
11. Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself) by Ne-Yo

13. Rehab by Rihanna
14. Home by Phillip Phillips

Paula: I imagine Figured You Out playing when Olivia is at the club, with the Bachelorette party and she undresses Cash thinking he is the stripper. Home is the perfect song for when Olivia finally feels comfortable with the man she ends up with.

Up to MeOpen it & listen with Spotify!
UpSoundtrack01. Without You by Hinder
02. Apologize by OneRepublic
03. Be Your Everything by Boys Like Girls
04. It's Time by Imagine Dragons
05. Your Body by Christina Aguilera
06. What Love Can Be by Kingdom Come
07. Diamonds by Rihanna
08. To The Moon & Back by Savage Garden
09. More Than This by One Direction
10. You and I by Paper Route
11. Hero/Heroine by Boys Like Girls
12. Run - feat. Sugarland by Matt Nathanson
13. You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi
14. Love Is on the Way by Saigon Kick
15. Lick It Up by Kiss

Paula: Without You is a good song opener for this book because both Olivia and Cash want to be together but they are both insecure about their feelings and relationship. They’re not sure if they’re both ready to take the next step but they don’t want to be without each other.

About the Author

M. Leighton at desk

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, M. Leighton, is a native of Ohio. She relocated to the warmer climates of the South, where she can be near the water all summer and miss the snow all winter. Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you'll find in her latest books. When her thoughts aren't roaming in that direction, she'll be riding horses, swimming in ponds and experiencing life on a ranch, all without leaving the cozy comfort of her office.

I really enjoyed the way M. Leighton created her playlist. The music she chose flows smoothly with her stories. They match the descriptions of the background, character’s moods, and plot perfectly. A music playlist is an interesting way to connect with the characters. The emotions. The mood.

I know I listen to my iPod every single day and the music I listen to depends on the mood I’m in. Sometimes I listen to music while reading. If I’m reading a sad book, I’m definitely going to put on some Bon Iver. If I’m writing a review, I like to throw in something that lifts my mood so I can write a great review – usually The Lumineers or Ben Howard. If I’m reading an action-packed book, I like to listen to My Morning Jacket, Jack White, or Muse. Incorporating music while reading or writing is simply a great way to enhance the experience.

So, with that said… M. Leighton did a great job creating playlists that get the reader in the right frame of mind for what she wants her readers to feel while reading her books.

What are some of your favorite songs from the three soundtracks? Which do you think fit the characters and the books the best?
