Review:

Date Me is absolutely magically delicious and my favorite in this series so far. It picks up exactly where Kiss Me ended. Keatyn has just been asked to Homecoming by Dawson in one of the most exciting and original ways. She’s floating on ‘Dawson cloud nine’ and has finally decided to accept the ‘key to his heart’ that will make them official. Life is good for this couple. They have fun together and they have FUN together – if you know what I mean. Keatyn has finally found a good group of friends. She’s involved in school functions and is going to try out for the school play. Things are going great in Keatyn’s world. Sort of.

My little Keatie has really grown up quite a bit since I first met her in Stalk Me. She’s coming into her own. She knows what she wants in life and is ready to pursue it. But, like any teenager, she makes mistakes and bad decisions. I love Keatyn. She marches to her own drum.  She’s a fun chick with a huge heart. However, she does have a lot on her plate as she struggles with missing her family and old friends while still dealing with the psycho stalker, Vincent. That’s a lot for any seventeen year old girl to handle. However, Keatyn is not one to sit around and moan about her life. She may have a break down every once in a while, but she gets back up and continues to dance to her own beat, making the best of everything. The girl has a heart of gold.

“I’m not dating Dawson to be popular, Whitney. I’m dating him for hot sex.”

Despite her worries over her stalker, she definitely has it good with two hot guys vying for her attention. I fell pretty hard for Dawson in Kiss M. He’s a good guy, playful, and meltingly sexy. Sure, Dawson and Keatyn have a lot of fun together, and really good sexual chemistry, but I feel like Dawson never tried to get to know Keatyn on a more personal level besides the physical part. The eighteen year old horny teenager in Dawson came out full force in this book – among other things. Dawson needs a swift kick in the hiny.

Aiden lets out a deep, sexy growl. The kind of growl that makes a girl want to rip off her panties.
Not me, of course. I’m just saying most girls. Well, some girls would, maybe.
I think.

And then there is Aiden, who I had big issues with in Kiss Me, yet he completely surprised me in a very good way in this installment. In the last book, I wasn’t willing to look at Aiden as anything more than an annoying nat buzzing around Dawson and Keatyn’s relationship.  But then, all of a sudden, I immediately felt the connection between Aiden and Keatyn, and I saw just how compatible they are together. Aiden showed me how thoughtful, passionate, and swoon-worthy he really is. Now, I have to agree with Keatyn, Aiden really is the God of all Hotties. I was wooed.

If Dawson has the potential to break my heart, crack it in two, Aiden has the power to annihilate it.

When I first started this story, I was adamant to remain loyal to Team Dawson. Then, suddenly I found myself switching gears 8% into the book. My heart started swooning for someone else. And then my head was spinning with disbelief that I could be wooed that quickly. I don’t know who Keatyn will end up with. I’m not even sure I’m ready to give up on Dawson. He’s not a bad guy, he’s just young and slightly immature. Could Dawson or Aiden be the one? Who knows. Miz Dodd is tricky when it comes to the hot male leads in Keatyn’s life. I have to give Jillian Dodd kudos. She has an amazing writing talent where you will become emotionally and passionately attached to her characters. She has a way with creating a character and showing you what she wants you to see at the moment. And then she will open that character up and show you their true colors. I’m definitely impressed by Miz Dodd’s writing skill, indeed.

I adore the secondary characters in this story, especially Dallas and Riley. I admit to having a huge crush on both of them.  They both make me laugh and smile. And the fact they both protect and love Keatyn like family would is truly awe-worthy. Part of me thinks that Keatyn will end up with Dallas at some point. But, maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part. And then there is Damian. The super, sexy rock star has piqued my interest. Oh, yes. Miz Dodd has me in hot boy overload again.

I love this series, the characters, the storyline, everything. The Keatyn Chronicles is addictive, to put it mildly. I never thought I could get so emotionally involved in a tween series, but this series certainly has my undivided and devoted attention. The twist at the end of Date Me was freaking fantastic. Keatyn has some decisions to make and I cannot wait to see what happens in Love Me!
