Weekly Affair: june 22, 2012

Well, let’s start this post off right, shall we? And what better way to do that than with a half naked man in colonial garb? We should all thank Pamela Clare for her blog post sharing with us the… photographic evidence… from the shoot of her live-action trailer for Defiant.

Sigh. There are many more pictures on her blog. And they can be super-sized. Just saying.

Because I am still obsessed with thoughts of Nora and Wesley and Soren from The Siren by Tiffany Reisz (review) – and, I know that once you read it, you will be too – here are some freebies from Miz Reisz to hold you over until the release of The Angel (Sept 18th):

The Siren (The Original Sinners) prequels –

NIGHTSWIMMING - takes place approximately fifteen months before THE SIREN – stars Wesley & Nora

GRIFFIN IN WONDERLAND takes places approximately six years before THE SIREN – stars Griffin & Kingsley & young Nora

THE METRONOME takes places approximately six months before THE SIREN – stars Nora

LITTLE RED RIDING CROP takes place approximately two years before THE SIREN – stars Nora & Kingsley

THE TEACHER takes pace approximately twelve years before THE SIREN – stars Zach & Grace

Seven Day Loan sequels –

DANIEL PART TWO takes place approximately one year after SEVEN DAY LOAN

I have only read Nightswimming and Daniel Part Two but, guaranteed, I’ll be reading them all! Miz Reisz has also put up an excerpt for her novella Submit to Desire, which is out July 1st.

Lorelei James has shared with us the synopsis for Kissin' Tell, the 13th installment in the Rough Riders series (released June 26th):

She once led him around by a string. Now he’s the one holding the reins.

Georgia Hotchkiss swore wild horses couldn’t drag her back to Sundance, Wyoming. So it’s ironic she’s forced to take a rodeo PR job in her former hometown—right before her ten-year class reunion. The only thing worse than facing her cheating ex-husband and his pregnant wife? Showing up to the reunion without a date. Fate smiles on her when she runs into her former classmate and current cowboy hottie Tell McKay. With his infectious smile and fun-loving ways—not to mention his banging body—he’s the perfect solution to her problem.

Tell McKay had it so bad for Hot Lips Hotchkiss during high school that he let her run roughshod over him. But he is no longer that easily manipulated boy—these days he’s earned a reputation with the ladies that lives up to the McKay last name. He agrees to escort her to the reunion with one stipulation; that Georgia proves she has left behind the goody-goody cheerleader of the past—by sharing his bed.

Their sexual chemistry flashes so bright, they barely notice that the reunion has come and gone, and now they’re tangled up in another dreaded “R” word—relationship. But if Tell wants to get the girl this go-around, he’ll have to come up with a whole new set of knots to tie up her heartstrings.

Warning: Contains a sweet talkin’ wild cowboy with a wagon load of crazy-hot sex fantasies and the mad bedroom skills to back up his claims.

Both myself and Paula have, quite literally, devoured these books! We both started reading them in April and we both read the first 8 books in under 7 days. The only thing between me and Kissin’ Tell – besides the release date, that is – is book 12! (Which I’ll be reading soon.)

If you haven’t read this series yet, I would definitely recommend you give it a try. That is, if you are into ridiculously hot, alpha cowboys who know how to use ropes and treat their women right...

Karen Marie Moning has put up an excerpt (or teaser, really) for Iced (Dani O'Malley), to be released October 30th, on her Facebook. Scroll till you see a picture of a curly-haired redhead. It features Ryodan. Need I say more?
