Congratulations on your success! Seduction and Snacks became popular pretty quick. Where did you get your inspiration to write this story?

Thank you! A lot of the events/conversations in the series are taken from real life. Sad, but true!

Trouble and Treats is your most recent release and the third book in the Chocolate Lovers series. Tell us a little about it.

This is Drew and Jenny’s book. The crazy, sex-aholic couple you’ve known in the previous two books are having a bit of trouble in the bedroom. You’ll get a look into their early relationship, learn about a lot more disturbing things they’ve done naked together and of course, the rest of the gang is there to help them.

We love the snarky humor in your books. Does the humor come naturally to you?

Um, duh? Ha! My middle name should have been Snarky. I’m not kidding. I can find humor in anything and everything and have no shame in saying it loud and proud. I’m fun to be with in public, FYI.

There are many John Hughes references throughout the series. What is your favorite Hughes film? Favorite movie quote?

Gaaaah, do I have to pick just one?! I think I’m going with “Pretty in Pink”. And the quote I say all the time, for no particular reason, came from the character Duckie: “Blane?! His name is Blane?! That’s a major appliance, not a name!”

What are the five most daring, amazing, interesting things you’ve ever done?

OMG nothing! And I’m totally serious! I’m a wuss. I’m afraid of heights, hate roller coasters and hate to fly. That doesn’t leave me with too many options. Um, I ate sushi once. Does that count? I hated it and spit it out so probably not. I was in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade when I was 18 for cheerleading. That was kind of cool. But that was a looooooong time ago. Now, it’s amazing and interesting if I change out of my pajamas by 3pm.

What is the most unusual resource you have ever used while writing?

UrbanDictionary.com That site is a scary place to be when you’ve had a few glasses of wine, everyone in the house is asleep and you learn what the words “blue waffle” means. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

If the Chocolate Lovers series was made into a movie, who would you cast for Carter and Claire? Drew and Jenny?

I LOVE thinking about this! Not that it will ever happen, but a girl can dream!

We love our sweets at Romantic Book Affairs. Would you please share one of your favorite Christmas dessert recipe?

Cranberry Hootycreeks:

2 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup dried cranberries (I just use cranraisins)
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter, then add sugars, eggs and vanilla
Mix in flour mixture, oats, cranberries, chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
