Review:
Wallbanger is an addictive, romantic comedy with engaging characters. I absolutely adore Caroline and Simon. I laughed so hard I was cackling like a crazy person. This story is pure, unadulterated fun!
Caroline and her cat, Clive, have just moved into a new apartment. She loved her new place until she realized her walls are paper thin. Her first night in her apartment, Caroline is woken up when she hears an “OH, GOD”, Thump, another oh god, and more thumping. Disoriented from sleep, she had no idea what was going on. The banging stops. She attempts to go back to sleep and then she hears the woman start moaning 'Simon.' Caroline’s new neighbor. Caroline has a front row seat to her neighbors sexy times, wall banging, and spankings. Wait. What? Simon is spanking the woman because she’s been a bad girl. Oh, but that’s not the end to the wall banging. The next night, the wall banging starts up again except this time it’s a different woman who meows.
“The girl next door was meowing. What in the world was my neighbor packing to make that happen?”
Caroline soon realizes her neighbor has a harem of women, who Caroline has nicknamed Spanx, Purina, and the Giggler. The wall banging didn’t happen every night but, when it did, Caroline would lose sleep. Being the good and nosey neighbor she is, Caroline tried time and again to get a peek out her eyehole to find out what her womanizing neighbor looks like. Peeping Caroline tried and failed on several occasions. However, according to her good friends and neighbors, the man is deliciously hot.
Tis a sad, sad day when a girl doesn’t even know her own orgasm.
The wall banging is just part of Caroline’s problems. She’s lost her “O.” It’s been missing for months and Caroline is frustrated. She needs some release. The night she decides to seduce herself and hopefully get the much needed release she is desperate to have, the wall banging starts up right at the moment she almost found her long lost friend, “O.” Caroline has had enough. She’s tired, frustrated, and pissed. Not caring that all she is wearing is her little pink nightie, she stomps over to her neighbor’s apartment and begins to pound on his door to confront him about his wall banging sexcapades that are seriously disrupting her life. What Caroline didn’t expect is to be stopped mid-tirade by one of the most drop dead gorgeous men she’s ever seen wrapped in nothing but a sheet… with a hard on. Yes, that’s right girls, he was still hard. Caroline finally comes back to her senses after checking the man’s drool worthy physique, and then proceeds to tell him exactly what she thinks of his slutty ways.
“Now you listen here, mister,” I said, trying for a more adult tone. “I’m not going to spend every night listening to you try to crash your girl’s head through my wall with the force of your dick alone!”
It was a complete surprise when Caroline runs into the wallbanger at her friend’s house warming party. Of course, Caroline already knows his name since she’s heard it moaned multiple times. When they see each other, they are both furious. Insults and glares are traded. Caroline finds out that he’s nicknamed her the “Pink Nightie Girl” and Simon finds out he’s been nicknamed “Wallbanger.”
“Asshole,” I mouthed to him.
“Cockblocker,” he mouthed back, the smirk returning in full force.
Caroline’s two girlfriends immediately hook up with Simon’s two guy friends. And with this connection of friends, Simon and Caroline end up hanging out a lot together. There is an obvious sexual attraction between the two but Caroline insists that she will never join Simon’s harem. They both have reservations about pursuing a serious relationship. Caroline wants all or nothing. She is NOT going to be a part of Simon’s harem. And Simon worries about hurting Caroline, by leaving her behind so much when he travels for his job. Which is why his no strings attached relationships work for him until he realized he no longer wanted a harem, he just wanted one woman. Caroline.
He was wooing me. And I was letting him woo. I wanted the woo. I deserved the woo. I needed the wow that would surely follow the woo, but for now, the woo? It was whoa.
Wallbanger is a hump-tastic, incredibly funny book! The humor never once got old or felt over-the-top. I loved the slow build up with the sexual innuendos and sizzling chemistry. And when they finally connect on the romantic level, they take things really slow until BAM. It’s off the charts hotness. Trust me, they do not waste time trying out different positions and places to bang. Now the question I’m sure you’re wondering, does Caroline finally get her “O” back? You will have to read the book to find out! And lastly, I thoroughly enjoyed the secondary characters. This includes Clive, the cat, who has fallen in love with the “meowing” woman, Purina. There is no doubt in my mind I will be checking other books by Alice Clayton. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves sexy, romantic comedies!
