Review:

In Just One Night, Kasie Fitzgerald has a one night stand with billionaire Robert Dade. A one-nighter that turns into a job offer that turns into multiple steamy hookups. The only problem? Kasie has a fiancé. And she ping-pongs back and forth between Robert and her fiancé, Dave. Well, in Exposed – her affair with Robert becomes just that. Dave finds out. And he’s livid.

Unfortunately, the whole situation seems to bring out the worst in all of the characters, because… Oh. My. God. What is wrong with these people? Seriously. Dave is a vindictive, spoiled ass. Kasie lives in a dream world full of fantasies and delusions and is flaky to the n’th degree. And Robert! The only sane one of the bunch, he has to go all Tarzan and thoroughly and inappropriately mark his territory (ie Kasie).

And don't even get me started on Kasie’s parents and their issues. They seem like downright awful people. The dad in particular. Pretentious and pompous and completely unlikeable. All that combined with the fact that Kasie never says anything or defends her deceased sister.... What the heck?

These people frustrate the heck out of me. Robert was the saving grace for me in both installments. He’s sexy, dominant, no-nonsense. He wants what he wants and he won’t apologize and he won’t back down. But he goes a little too far by the end of this installment. I went from liking him to really not liking him. I’m hoping he’s redeemable but who knows.

Exposed frustrates me so much. How can I not like the characters but still enjoy the sensuality? Because this series has that going for it and I like it. A lot. It’s hot and fiery and full of not-so-subtle Dominance/submission aspects. It trips my trigger in a big way. But… I don't even know. Me and this series is like, well, if you could have angry sex with a book - that's what I'm doing! Having lots and lots of angry sex with this darn book. And sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not.

Thoughts While Reading:

11.0% - "What! She did NOT just call herself the w-word..."
36.0% - "Not enjoying Kasie's fantasies."
