This series (and the one that follows it) is literary crack. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I stayed up late, till my eyes were blurry and tired, before finally giving in and accepting that I could pick it back up in the morning. Once you start following Brianna Bennett on her journey of self discovery and submission, be prepared to be drawn in completely.
When Brie received that fateful business card from Sir and accepted her admission into the Submissive Training Center, her life is changed forever. In six short weeks, along with two other submissives-in-training, Brie is exposed to nearly every nuance of BDSM. Dominance, obedience, bondage, discipline, objectification, humiliation… Scenes that include floggings, canings, restraint, multiple partners, oral sex, role playing… You name it, it’s probably included in a lesson.
Like sands through the hourglass... so are the Days of Brie Bennett’s life. Holy drama and love triangles and backstabbing blonde nemesis's! You never know what’s going to happen next. It’s like an addicting, and quite naughty, soap opera. And I couldn’t get enough! You’re never, ever bored. Each scene, each Master, each lesson was evocative and emotive. I was engaged on all levels—heart, mind, and body.
Brie Learns the Art of Submission has it all—eroticism of the blatantly sexual variety, more hot men than should be legally acceptable, drama and more drama, and a heaping helping of unexpected romances. Even though Brie is learning submission, it never felt like the author was trying to school the reader. There were no moments of tedious BDSM vocabulary lessons or boring background information. Each lesson Brie learns, it was eye opening and oh so erotic. And even though I did learn a few things along with Brie, Miz Phoenix is welcome to teach me anytime if this is how she does it.
